An important part of the church service is worship in singing and music. The influence of music is however often underestimated. A trend has been seen of introducing more contemporary music styles into the church. By doing this, it is hoped that especially more younger people will come to the church. Without realinzing though what the message of this music and the outcome of using it might be.
Contemporary christian rock is accepted by many churches as the solution for a revival in this post-modern age and foster church growth. The dangers which inherently come along with using such music are usually not realized to the extent of the impact it has. Moreover, it is usually not being discussed at all. This booklet points to the hidden influence and the fatal consequences that can happen when, mostly with good intentions, unsacred music is introduced in the church.
